Minister of Fisheries and Land Resources, Steve Crocker, is pleased with an agreement that will invest $3 billion in Canada’s agriculture and agri-foods industry over the next five years.

The new Canadian Agricultural Partnership will come into effect on April 1, 2018. The agreement was reached during the annual meeting of Federal, Provincial and Territorial Ministers of Agriculture.

Extensive consultations with farmers, producers and other stakeholders informed the development of the new policy framework, which will be similar to the current cost-shared Growing Forward 2 Agreement.
