Labrador Protesters Held at HMP

There are three Labrador elders at Her Majesty’s Penitentiary in St. John's for refusing to adhere to the court injunction to remain away from the Muskrat Falls work-site.

Jim Learning, Eldred Davis, and Marjorie Flowers were detained on Friday after refusing to sign the order.

Beatrice Hunter was held at the prison for a week in June.

The three will remain at Her Majesty’s Penitentiary until their next court appearance in Happy Valley-Goose Bay.

Supreme Court Justice George Murphy has said that, "This court has been extremely patient, but there is a limit."
