Someone within Western Health's Emergency Department at the Corner Brook hospital intentionally set off the sprinkler system last night.
The break has caused water damage to the emergency department and the lab department.
Emergency Services are not impacted, however in the lab there is damage.
As a result blood collection is cancelled Friday for Bonne Bay Health Centre in Norris Point, Calder Health Centre in Burgeo, Deer Lake Medical Clinic, Rufus Guinchard Health Centre in Port Saunders, and Western Memorial Clinic, Herald Avenue in Corner Brook.
It is still too early to know the extent of damages to equipment.
Some surgeries have also been cancelled.
If you have an appointment today you should come as planned, staff will notify anyone who will be impacted.
