Concerned Citizen Calls in Impaired Driver Complaint in Corner Brook #nltraffic

Corner Brook Region RNC responded to a complaint of an impaired driver just after 9:00 pm last night.

A complaint was received from a concerned citizen that a male who is known to her had driven away in a vehicle and the complainant believed him to be impaired by alcohol.

After a short investigation the vehicle was located and the suspected male operator was occupying the driver seat.

As a result of the investigation, a 51 year old resident of Corner Brook was arrested and charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor vehicle and refusal to comply with a Breath Demand given by a Police Officer.

The male was held in custody due to his high level of impairment and will be released later today with a future court date to answer to these charges.
