Big Game Licence's Being Mailed

The Big Game Draw for the 2017-18 Newfoundland and Labrador hunting season has been completed and results are being mailed out to applicants across the province.

Successful applicants for moose and caribou licences will be informed first while unsuccessful applicants can expect notification shortly thereafter.

There will be a total of 32,089 moose licences for the 2017-18 hunting season consisting of 31,730 licences for the Island portion of the province and 359 moose licences for Labrador.

A total of 650 caribou licences will be issued on the Island for 2017-18.

Caribou hunting is not permitted in Labrador at this time.
