Taxi Driver Caught Smoking and Other Corner Brook Police Highlights #nltraffic
RNC in the Corner Brook received 25 calls for service over the last 24 hours.
Here are some highlights:
At 2:00 p.m. RNC and Corner Brook Fire department responded to a two vehicle collision on Mount Bernard Avenue. There were no injuries were reported but both vehicles sustained moderate damages.
At 4:00 p.m. police were patrolling West Valley Road when they observed a taxi cab driving on road and operator of the taxicab was smoking a cigarette. Police conducted a traffic stop with the taxi cab and identified the driver. Charges under the Smoke Free Environment Act are anticipated.
Finally, on June 27 at 8:20 p.m. RNC Patrol Services responded to a report of theft from a business in the Murphy Square area. It was reported that merchandise was stolen from a business. No charges have been laid and no arrests at this point. Matter remains under investigation.
