Speeding Driver Stopped, Driver Owes Thousands in Fines #nltraffic

At approximately 2:15pm on Tuesday, RNC patrol officers stopped a vehicle for speeding 44km/h over the 50 km/h limit on the Main Rd in Pouch Cove, NL.

It was determined that the 29 year old male driver, who owed $4000 in outstanding fines, was also operating without a driver’s license, insurance, and had failed to transfer the vehicle into his name.

The driver was charged under the highway traffic act and will appear in court at a later date, his vehicle was also seized.
