Bay St. George Man Fails to Appear at RNC Station
Back on April 26, 2017 the RNC arrested and charged a 33 year old male from the Bay St. George area with Theft under $5000 and Breach of Probation after it was alleged that he was observed stealing merchandise from a Corner Brook business.
He was released to appear June 13, 2017 at Provincial Court in Corner Brook to appear on the charges and to appear at RNC Corner Brook Detachment to provide fingerprints under the Identification of Criminal Act.
On June 13, 2017 the accused failed to appear at these locations and as a result, a Warrant of Arrest was issued. With the assistance from the Bay St. George RCMP, on June 18, 2017 the male was arrested in the Bay St. George area without incident.
The accused was turned over to the RNC for further investigation.
As a result, the accused has been charged with Fail to Appear and Breach of Court Orders. He remained in custody to appear in Provincial Court yesterday.
