Firefighters Called to Sagona Ave Last Night

There were some tense moments at Iron Mountain on Sagona Ave at about 10:00 pm last night.

Firefighters from six fire stations responded to the alarm.

Thick black smoke could be seen billowing from the building.

The cause of the fire was when a heating unit malfunctioned and backfired, sending smoke through the building.

Crews gave the all clear a short time later.
