Man Facing List of Charges After Hit and Run #nltraffic

At 7:15 pm Wednesday RNC Patrol Services responded to a Hit and Run collision on Allandale Rd involving three vehicles.

Witnesses followed the driver who left the scene and informed police that he was in the area of Memorial University Student Center, where he was apprehended by responding officers.

A 32 year old male resident of St John’s was charged with Driving while Prohibited, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, and Breach of Court Orders under the Criminal Code of Canada.

He was also charged under the Highway Traffic Act with Driving while Suspended, Operating without Insurance, and Operating an Unregistered Vehicle.

He was held in custody to appear at Provincial Court this morning.
