Protest at HMP

There was a protest at Her Majesty’s Penitentiary in St. John’s on Friday afternoon in support of Beatrice Hunter of Labrador.

Hunter was charged with trespassing at Muskrat Falls last fall.

The Department of Justice says Beatrice Hunter was sent to St. John’s because there is no women’s correctional facility in Labrador and there is no room in Clarenville.
