RNC Oversight Planned

Following several investigations, Justice Minister Andrew Parsons says that his government will introduce legislation to create a civilian oversight team for the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary.

The comments come on the heels of the release of a report clearing senior RNC officers of criminal wrongdoing.

Parsons added that after speaking with front-line officers, they too are in favor of a civilian oversight team.
