Feds Provide Funds to Enhance Community Infrastructure in Rocky Harbour


The Member of Parliament for Long Range Mountains, Gudie Hutchings, announced investments of $148,170 for projects in and around the Rocky Harbour area.

The funds will be distributed to Gros Morne Summer Music Inc. to repair and modernize the St. Patrick’s facility in Woody Point. The Town of Rocky Harbour will also receive funds to enhance an existing sports field in the community as well as to make repairs to the arena. The Town of Parson’s Pond will also be able to purchase new equipment for Hillview Park and to construct Peace Garden.

Projects like these are being partly funded through the Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program. Funding in Atlantic Canada is delivered through ACOA.
