Talks Continue On Replacing Prison

According to Justice Minister Andrew Parsons, there are discussions with the federal government to replace Her Majesty's Penitentiary.

Her Majesty's Penitentiary, located at 85 Forest Road, was built in 1859.

It is still operational as a mens and womens correctional facility.

MHA Gerry Rogers says that there should be more of a drug treatment program and that the prison is more of a warehouse than a place for rehabilitation.
