4 Arrested Following Shooting and Police Chase #nltraffic


RCMP have arrested four people following a shooting in Avondale yesterday.

Police were called to a report that a man had been shot in the leg.

The man was taken to hospital in stable condition.

Police located the suspect vehicle on the Trans-Canada Highway. They attempted to stop the vehicle multiple times. Around 10 pm the chase came to an end when RCMP use spike strips to disable the vehicle.

As a result, two men, a woman, and a teenager have been arrested.

The two men will remain in custody pending a court appearance. One facing charges of aggravated assault, careless use of a firearm, pointing a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, driving while disqualified, and various breaches. The others are charged with being an accessory to the crimes.
