Busy night for the RNC


It was a busy 24-hours for the RNC on the Northeast Avalon.

In total the RNC responded to 134 calls for service.

Here are some highlights:

At 11:40 am yesterday morning the RNC conducted a traffic safety stop in the area of Blackmarsh Road in St. John’s. The 54 year old male driver was ticketed for driving without a valid insurance policy, driving while suspended, driving on an expired license, fail to transfer vehicle ownership, and failing to surrender driver’s license. His vehicle was impounded.

At 2:19 pm officers arrested a 34 year old male under the authority of a parole warrant. The male is being held at the HMP lockup.

Then at 2:39 pm RNC patrol officers responded to a report of male breaching court orders. As a result of their investigations officers arrested a 32 year old male resident of Torbay for breaching a court order. He was held for court

A traffic safety stop was conducted at 3:15 pm in the area of Buckmaster’s Circle. The 28 year old male driver was ticketed for driving without a valid insurance policy, driving while suspended, driving on an expired license, fail to transfer vehicle ownership, operating an un-registered vehicle, displaying false plates and fail to display notice of novice driver. His vehicle was impounded.

At 6:38 pm police responded to a theft report at a Grocery Store in the West End of the City. As a result of this call 19 year old female was charged with Theft Under $5000.00. She will appear in court at a later date.west

As a result of a call for assistance in the West End of the City, police arrested a 44 year old male for Breaching his Court Order. He was held for court.

At 10:42 pm RNC Patrol Services conducted a traffic safety stop on a vehicle operating erratically in the downtown area of St. John’s. As a result of the traffic stop a 26 year old male was arrested and charged for impaired driving and driving over the legal limit for alcohol. He was issued a driving suspension and released to appear in Court at a later date.

RNC Patrol Services conducted a traffic safety stop in Paradise at 11:00 pm last night. As a result of this traffic stop a 48 year old male was arrested and charged with Impaired Driving and Driving Over the Legal Limit. He was issued a driving suspension and will appear in court at a later date.
