Police identify those responsible for suspicious boat fire

RCMP in St. Anthony have identified and determined that three youth were responsible for a fire back on April 9.

At approximately 5:30 p.m., RCMP responded to a suspicious boat fire at the wharf in the community of St. Lunaire-Griquet.

A quick response by the St. Lunaire-Griquet Volunteer Fire Department salvaged the vessel, which sustained extensive damage, and ensured the fire did not spread to other boats at the slipway.

The matter is still under investigation.
