Old man winter is getting set to have another fight with Newfoundland.
An area of low pressure that is currently southwest of the Grand Banks seems determined to bring a plethora of snow to parts of the Province.
Snow will begin over the south coast and the southern Avalon late this evening and from there will spread northward.
On Monday morning precipitation may become mixed with ice pellets over the Avalon before changing to rain across the Avalon tomorrow afternoon.
An area of high pressure remains dominant over Labrador on Tuesday which will push the low away from the Island. However a secondary low will approach from the west on Thursday. We are watching that system but we do not expect any major impacts at this time.
