Natuashish woman facing drug charges

A 34-year-old Natuashish woman is facing drug charges following an investigation by the Happy Valley-Goose Bay RCMP.

The woman was scheduled to fly on a medical flight to Natuashish when a quantity of marijuana was found following a search by officers and a police service dog.

She is being charged with possession of marijuana and possession for the purpose of trafficking and will appear in court at a later date.

This is the second similar seizure to occur at the Happy Valley-Goose Bay airport in the past two weeks.
