Armed Robbery in Happy Valley-Goose Bay


RCMP in Happy Valley Goose Bay are investigating an armed robbery that happened last night.

Around 11:30 pm a male entered the Sweets Convenience Store on Grenfell Street with a knife and demanded money. The suspect then fled the store with an undisclosed amount of money as was last seen running in the direction of the Royal Bank.

The suspect was described as a Caucasian male with green eyes, dirty blond facial hair and was approximately 6 ft tall weighing 150 to 180 lbs. He was wearing a dark ski jacket & pants, white sneakers and a dark coloured face mask.

Nobody was injured during this incident and the investigation is ongoing.

The RCMP are seeking the public assistance in identifying this suspect and are encouraged to contact the Happy Valley/Goose Bay Detachment @ 896-3383 or Crime Stoppers at 1800-222-TIPS(8477). Calls to Crime Stoppers are not taped or traced and if Police make an arrest and lay charges as result of the tip, callers qualify for a cash award of up to $2000.
