RNC Chief Not Able to comment on Snelgrove Case
RNC Chief William Janes says he is not able to comment on the jury’s verdict in the Carl Snelgrove criminal trial.
Following any potential appeal, the matter will be addressed through the Public Complaints Commission process. The appropriate discipline under the RNC Act will be determined through that process.
Constable Snelgrove has been suspended from all duties without pay since these charges were laid in 2015. He will continue to be suspended without pay until the Public Complaints process has concluded and the appropriate discipline has been determined.
Janes also said that, "we do not tolerate inappropriate and unprofessional behavior by our officers and take complaints from the public very seriously."
