Gap in St. John's to Close
A spokesperson for Gap Canada confirmed on Thursday evening that the only Gap store in Newfoundland and Labrador is closing.
On April 25th empolyees in the Avalon Mall outlet will be out of a job, however they will be given an opportunity at Old Navy.
Gap shares rose 1% in late-Thursday trading after the retailer reported fourth-quarter earnings and sales that beat expectations.
