Break Enter and Theft, Shoppers Drug Mart, Botwood


RCMP from the Grand Falls-Windsor detachment responded to a complaint of Break, Enter and Theft to the Shoppers Drug Mart in Botwood.

Police say that during the night on February 3 thieves had cut a hole in the side of the building and stole a large safe.

The safe was later located in a wooded area within town limits. A quantity of cash was stolen from the safe.

On February 7, 31 year old Adam Waterman from Botwood was arrested and has been charged with the break, enter and theft. In addition, he has been charged with a break, enter and theft that occurred at the Kent store in Gander November 3 2016.

In total Waterman has been charged with 16 offences that also include possession of stolen property, possession of break and enter instruments, breaches of probation and court orders.

The investigation continues and police are asking that if anyone has any information in relation to the Shoppers Drug Mart theft or were a witness to a suspicious activity on the morning of February 3rd in the area of the store that they contact Grand Falls-Windsor RCMP or Crimestoppers.
