RNC Charge Youth with Attempted Murder
The RNC has charged a 16 year old in relation to the attempted murder investigation resulting from an incident on Springdale Street in St. John’s last Monday.
On January 30, 2017 police responded to a residence on Springdale Street to a report that a man had been shot.
A 21 year old man was taken to hospital by Eastern Health Paramedics where he remains in serious condition at this time.
Tuesday morning a 16 year old was charged with Attempted Murder, Aggravated Assault, Forcible Confinement, Uttering Threats and Pointing a Firearm.
The victim and the four individuals were known to each other and this was not a random act of violence. The youth appeared at Provincial Court this morning and was remanded.
