Trudeau welcomes refugees; U.S.turns passengers away #CDNpoli #Trump


Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said that Canada will welcome "those fleeing persecution, terror & war, Canadians will welcome you, regardless of your faith."

This comes as U.S. President Donald Trump put a four-month hold on allowing refugees into the United States and temporarily barred travelers from the seven countries.

Canadian airlines said they will turn back U.S.-bound passengers to comply with an immigration ban on people from Muslim-majority countries.

Late last evening a Judge blocked the deportation of people detained at US airports under President Trump's immigration executive order.
