Mixed Weather to Impact NL #nlwx

An area of low pressure will approach Newfoundland early on Wednesday morning.

There remains considerable uncertainty with precipitation types, however there is the possibility of an extended freezing rain event, especially in central Newfoundland.

Any freezing rain that does occur will eventually change over to rain.

Temperatures will drop on Thursday to the freezing mark and precipitation will change to snow along the west coast. Central may see ice pellets and freezing rain changing to rain. The Avalon will likely see mostly rain.

Gusty winds will make for some hazardous driving conditions.

In Labrador, snow is in the forecast with some significant snowfall accumulation possible.
