RNC Charge Four with Armed Robbery

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary have charged three men and a woman in relation to an armed robbery at a pharmacy on New Year’s Eve. On Saturday, December 31, 2016 at approximately 4:45pm, officers with RNC Patrol Services Division, Criminal Investigation Division, Forensic Identification Services and Police Dog Services responded to a Shoppers Drug Mart on Commonwealth Ave in Mount Pearl to a report of an armed robbery. It was reported to police that two men armed with knives entered the pharmacy and demanded cash and prescription drugs. The pair fled the area with an undisclosed quantity of drugs and cash in a vehicle that was waiting nearby and occupied by two others. Patrol officers located the three men and a woman at a home nearby minutes later where they were arrested and the drugs and money were seized. Jonathan Hurley has been charged with Robbery, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, Disguise with Intent and court order breaches. Christopher Hoddinott faces charges of Robbery, Possession of Stolen Goods, Resisting Arrest and Assaulting a Police Officer. Anne Kelly will answer to a charge of Robbery. Finally Jason Gosse is charged with Robbery, Disguise with Intent and Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose.
