2 Earthquakes in Northern Labrador

There were two earthquakes in Labrador overnight and this morning.

The first was a magnitude 4.5 that struck at 2:52 am. The second was a 4.7 magnitude and struck at 5:35 am.

Both earthquakes were strong enough to be felt. The first was felt in Postville and Makkovik and the second was felt in Makkovik and Natuashish.

Earthquakes of this magnitude are considered minor.
