18 year old male charged with impaired driving following traffic stop in St John's

Shortly after midnight on Monday, Officers with the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the

area of New Cove Road in St John’s. In speaking to the 18 year old male driver, he showed signs of impairment resulting in him being arrested for impaired driving.

The 18 year old now faces charges for Impaired Operation and Operation over 80. The male was released for a future court date and his vehicle was impounded.
