15 year old male arrested following disturbance at the Avalon Mall, Friday evening

Shortly after 7:30 p.m. Officers with the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) responded to a disturbance at the Avalon Mall, when officers arrived at the scene, they conducted an investigation into what had occurred, which led to a 15 year old male being arrested.

The 15 year old male is being charged with the following:

• Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose

• Uttering Threats to cause death or bodily harm

• Failure to comply with release order.

The male youth was conveyed to the St. John’s youth detention center.
