15-year-old charged with attempted murder and arson following Fire in St. John’s

A 15-year-old male has been arrested by the RNC in connection with a house fire in Goulds overnight.

Just after midnight, the RNC and fire crews responded to the blaze. The occupants of the multi-unit home escaped the fire without injury.

The youth was placed under arrest at the scene and later charged with attempted murder and arson.

The accused was held in custody and appeared in Provincial Court today.
