15 New Cases of COVID-19 in NL


There are 15 new presumptive positive cases in Newfoundland and Labrador.

All are in the Eastern Health region.

There are 82 cases in total. There is a total of 76 cases in the Eastern Health region. There are still only 2 in Central Health, there is 1 case in Western Health, and 3 in Labrador-Grenfell. 1,491 people have been tested and 1,409 are negative.

All of those infected are recovering at home.

Dr. Janice Fitzgerald says that this won't be over by Easter.

Premier Ball says that the government is looking to borrow $2 billion in long term borrowing and $200 million in contingency funds.


Minister John Haggie says its vitally important to tell ambulance dispatch if you may have come into contact with someone with COVID-19. It will NOT stop an ambulance from coming to get you but will allow paramedics to wear PPE.
