14 new COVID-19 cases, changes to travel, & an update on the Vaccine Passport


Today there are 14 new cases of COVID-19 and one presumptive positive case. All cases are located in the Central Health region.


Newfoundland and Labrador now has 159 active cases. There are four people in the hospital and there have been ten new recoveries.


Premier Furey says that consultations are underway with unions to mandate that all public employees be vaccinated.


In response to the recent rise in cases, as of Thursday at 12:01 am partially vaccinated travellers coming to the province will be treated as unvaccinated travellers and will need to self-isolate. The Atlantic Bubble will also close.


The was an update provided on the COVID-19 vaccine passport today. Minister Stoodley says that there will be an app to download for the vaccine passport. Additionally, those without access to a printer or cellphone will be provided with a number to call to have a copy mailed to them.


You'll be able to store multiple family members in the same app.


There will be an app for businesses to download.
