13 new cases of COVID-19 and 1 Fatality


There are 13 new cases of COVID-19 in the province. All new cases are within the Eastern Health Region.

There are now 148 cases in total.

As of today, there are 9 people hospitalized, 2 are intensive care and 7 have recovered.

One man has died from the virus.

The deceased was a 78-year-old male from the Eastern Health Region who tested positive for COVID-19. He had underlying medical issues and was linked to the Caul's Funeral Home cluster.

Premier Ball extended his deepest condolences to the family of the victim.

Health Minister John Haggie sais that shopping can no longer be a family activity. It must be one person, one trip, each week.

Breakopen and scratch tickets are not permitted to be sold.

An employee at a pharmacy at a Sobeys location in St. John's has tested positive for COVID-19.
