10 new COVID-19 cases and a cluster identified

The province reported ten new confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Friday.


There is one case in the Eastern Health region, seven in the Central Health region and two cases in the Western Health region.


Two cases are related to travel within Canada. One case is a close contact of a previous case. One case is under investigation.


Central Health is investigating a cluster of cases in the region. The source of these cases is under investigation. There are seven cases to date in this cluster which is still under investigation. There are also four presumptive positive cases related to the cluster.


There are four people in hospital due to COVID-19.


There are 70 active cases of COVID-19 in the province. Of those cases, 31 are in the Eastern Health region, there are 19 cases in Central Health, 19 in Western Health, and one case in Labrador-Grenfell Health.


So far, 140,911 people have been tested.
