

Security detains theft suspect at business in St. John's
On Tuesday evening, the RNC responded to a business on Torbay Road in St. John’s to a report of a theft in progress. Security at the business had detained a 36-year-old male for theft. The man resisted the security. The male was arrested and charged with robbery with violence and breach of probation. He was held to appear in court this morning.

Showers and flurries for western Newfoundland, clear in the east
It will be a fairly pleasant day across eastern and central Newfounland with a mix of sun and cloud expected. Along the west coast, showers are expected with 2 to 4 mm possible; areas inland and over higher terrain will see flurries. Highs will range from 2 to 8. Across Labrador today, sun and cloud is forecasted along the coast and for central areas. Western areas will see a few flurries. Temperatures from minus 1 to plus 4 are expected.

Alert Ready test taking place today
There will be a test of the national emergency alerting system, Alert Ready, today, at 10:45 a.m. Newfoundland time and 10:15 a.m. in most of Labrador. Some residents will not receive the test alert on their wireless device due to compatibility, LTE network connection, cell tower coverage, device software and/or settings. This Public Awareness Test is being performed in most provinces and territories as part of an annual system test.

She was last seen around 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at a residence in the Happy Valley-Goose Bay area. Kylie is approximately 5’ 6” tall, with shoulder length brown hair and brown eyes. Grand Falls-Windsor RCMP is actively searching for a black 2025 Ford F-150 pickup truck bearing Newfoundland and Labrador plate CL6 694 in relation to an ongoing criminal investigation. The vehicle was last seen in the Botwood area. Police caution the general public to not approach the vehicle or its occupant(s) for public safety reasons. If spotted call 911 immediately to report its location.
