Youth Charged Following Early-Morning Stabbing in Mount Pearl

A 13-year-old boy has been charged after an early-morning stabbing in Mount Pearl left one person injured.
The RNC responded to a reported disturbance at a residence around 2:15 a.m. on March 30.
When police arrived, they found a male suffering from stab wounds described as non-life-threatening. He was transported to hospital for treatment.
Police say the suspect had fled the home before officers arrived. Police Dog Services were called in and located the youth on a nearby walking trail around 3 a.m., where he was arrested.
Following the investigation, the youth has been charged with assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm. He was held in custody to appear in court.
