Winterfest kicks off today in CBS

The Town of Conception Bay South is gearing up for its annual Winterfest in CBS celebration, running from Friday, February 6 to Saturday, February 14, 2026. The week-long festival invites residents and visitors to enjoy a variety of outdoor and indoor activities designed to celebrate the winter season with family-friendly fun, sports, and community events.

Winterfest features something for just about everyone, from sports tournaments and social nights to creative and wellness-oriented gatherings.

Highlights on the schedule include seasonal favourites such as Soccerfest youth competitions, Winterfest Kids Dance Parties, and Youth Nights at the Riverdale Fun Centre — welcoming teens for bowling, arcade games and social time. Families can also participate in storytimes at the local library and learn new skills like knitting at community partner-led sessions.

Health and wellness activities are part of the lineup too, with Walking for Wellness events planned mid-week. And weekend evenings feature social opportunities such as Winterfest Craft Beer Night at the Manuels River Hibernia Centre, which brings local craft breweries together with live music and small bites.
