Festival of New Dance 2026 – CHAMPIONESS

CHAMPIONESS combines boxing with Western contemporary, street and Latin dance to explore themes of identity and mental health.

The performance is part of the Festival of New Dance 2026.

Hard Rock and Heavy Metal: How Geology and Topography Shaped Military and Communications History

Sunday, September 27 | 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.Signal Hill Visitor Centre, 230 Signal Hill Road

Parks Canada is hosting a 60-minute guided geology tour of Signal Hill with a Parks Canada interpreter and Dr. Rod Taylor from the Johnson GeoCentre.

The tour examines how the geology and topography of Signal Hill have influenced human innovation, including military and communications history.
