Yesterday, suppression went according to plan on all three fires. Rain, cool weather, and light wind helped stop the fires from growing. All three fires remain out of control. More favourable weather is occurring today.
Kingston Fire
There was minimal growth overnight, and now the fire is 10708 ha; it has not grown since yesterday, it was just measured more accurately.
There is no concern for Victoria and no concern for Trinity Bay or Bay de Verde, or Old Perlican.
The weather is not cooperating for air support this morning.
Government also provided an estimate on the number of metered structures that were lost. A metered structure is any structure with a power metre. This could include homes, sheds, and commercial structures.
