WestJet flight attendants on strike

WestJet has temporarily suspended all flights due to a labour disruption involving cabin crew, represented by CUPE.

CUPE Local 8125, operating as WestJet Component, began strike action overnight.

The union issued a 72-hour strike notification on July 30; WestJet responded and issued a lockout notification.

WestJet Encore flights continue to operate.
