Weather Update — Tuesday Night

It’s shaping up to be a cool and mostly quiet night across Newfoundland and Labrador, with a mix of clear and partly cloudy skies.


In Labrador, temperatures will hover around the freezing mark, with lows near 0°C in Labrador City, Churchill Falls, and Nain. Happy Valley-Goose Bay will dip slightly colder to around -2°C.


Across the island, temperatures will vary more significantly. The west coast will be milder, with around 1°C expected in Corner Brook and near -2°C in Channel-Port aux Basques.


Central areas will see some of the coldest readings, dropping to about -6°C in both Gander and Grand Falls-Windsor.


Along the northeast coast, St. Anthony will sit near 0°C.


On the Avalon Peninsula, expect lows around -1°C in St. John's.


Overall, it’ll be a calm but chilly night, with the coldest temperatures concentrated in central Newfoundland.
