Weather conditions improve somewhat

Weather conditions have improved across most of the province today.

In Labrador, clear skies are expected after a blustery Saturday. Temperatures will continue to be bitterly cold. Highs will range from minus 19 to minus 27. Wind chills will be near minus 40 to minus 45 in the morning.

Across western Newfoundland, about 5 cm of snow is expected today and a further 5 to 10 cm tonight. Flurries and blowing snow will persist across the Burin Peninsula today while there is a chance of flurries on the Avalon and a mix of sun and cloud in central.

The good news is that it will not be as cold today.
