Two-Vehicle Morning Collision in St. John’s Results in Significant Damage to One Car

A two-vehicle collision on Saturday morning in St. John’s resulted in one vehicle sustaining extensive damage.

Firefighters were called to the intersection of Mount Scio Road and Groves Road at approximately 8:55 a.m. for reports of a collision.

Firefighters arrived on scene a short time later and assessed the scene. One vehicle involved stopped just before going into a ditch and hitting a nearby pole. The other vehicle involved moved to Oxen Pond Road. That vehicle sustained moderate damage as a result of the collision.

One person was assessed on scene by NLHS paramedics but was not taken to hospital.

Traffic on Mount Scio Road was down to one lane in both directions as a result of the collision.
