Two People Taken to Hospital After Vehicle Crashes into Building in St. John’s

Emergency personnel were called to the Buckmasters Circle Community Centre in St. John’s just before 2:10 p.m. on Monday, August 24th.

Firefighters arrived to find a single vehicle had collided into the Community Centre. Crews quickly secured the vehicle so it could not move and attended to the injured people until paramedics could arrive on scene.

The driver of the vehicle was taken to hospital along with a person who was inside the same room where the car collided into. Both people were taken to hospital with injuries believed to be minor in nature.

Officers from the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary’s Collision Reconstructionists team also attended and investigated the collision.

Traffic at the intersection of Buckmasters Circle and Navy Street was closed as police investigated the collision.
