Two people were taken to hospital after a collision in St. John’s on Monday.
Firefighters with the St. John’s Regional Fire Department, along with NLHS paramedics and the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary, were called to the intersection of Kenmount Road and Great Eastern Avenue at around 2:45 p.m. on Monday.
The collision slowed traffic in both lanes on Kenmount Road, causing significant traffic delays in the area.
Two people were removed from their vehicles and placed on a stretcher, where they were then taken to hospital by a nearby waiting ambulance. The severity of the injuries is unknown.
Both vehicles sustained moderate damage as a result of the collision.
