Trail work to connect Grand Concourse Virginia Trail to begin next week

Work to connect the Grand Concourse Virginia Trail between Durness Street and McNiven Street is set to begin the week of Aug. 24.

The City of St. John’s said residents in the area may notice trail construction activity while the work is underway, although impacts on nearby residents are expected to be minimal.

The project is expected to take approximately three weeks to complete.

Once finished, the new connection will provide an approximately two-metre-wide gravel trail linking the existing trail network between Durness Street and McNiven Street.
