Thunderstorms cause power outages on NE Avalon

Many customers on the northeast Avalon including St. John's spent about an hour in the dark last night as thunderstorms rolled across the region and knocked out power.

St. John's International Airport recorded 4.6 mm of rain on Saturday.

Thunderstorms are possible once again this morning. Should any thunderstorms develop they will be non-severe in nature.
