Temperatures to Climb Into the Mid-20s Across Parts of Newfoundland Wednesday

We can expect a generally mild summer day today, with inland areas seeing temperatures climb into the low-to-mid 20s while cooler conditions persist along portions of the coast.

The warmest temperatures are expected in central Newfoundland, where Gander is forecast to reach 24°C. Corner Brook is expected to see highs of 23°C.

Western Newfoundland will also enjoy pleasant conditions, with Port Saunders forecast to reach 21°C and sunny skies.

Along the Avalon Peninsula and Burin Peninsula, temperatures will be noticeably cooler. St. John's is forecast to reach just 18°C, while Marystown is expected to top out near 15°C.

In Labrador, most areas will see a mix of sun and cloud, although scattered showers are possible across portions of Labrador and western sections of the island.

The temperature contrast between inland and coastal regions will remain a defining feature.

There is also a Yellow level rainfall warning issued for Burgeo - Ramea.

Rain, at times heavy, is expected with 40 to 60 mm, except locally up to 80 mm in areas of heaviest rain near noon today until early Friday morning.
