Studded Tires Permitted as of November 1

The Department of Digital Government and Service NL reminds the public that as the winter season approaches, motorists should consider having their winter tires installed before road conditions turn to snow and ice.

The earliest those tires are permitted is Wednesday, November 1.

It's also a good idea to ensure tires are in good condition, that brakes, wipers and lights are in working order, and that all fluid levels including windshield wash, antifreeze and oil are checked regularly.
